Zach G Wilson is back with his latest release Insecure

UK Christian Musician Zach G Wilson has just released a beautiful and heartfelt single called Insecure. Insecure is a beautiful blend of R&B and Trap. Zach fits well into this genre and really radiates his love for God through his music.

A Little bit about Insecure

I wrote ‘(In)secure’ after going through a season of healing. I discovered that I was in denial about, traumas, and insecurities. I was also riddled with hurt and shame from my past. As a result, I had become inauthentic to myself, and I also wasn’t authentic in my walk with The Lord. I had to seek the Lord to see who he made me to be and now I have to believe His word when He says to me, “You are a new creation”, which is written in 2 Corinthians 5:7. I believe Him, but sometimes struggle with unbelief.

From the beginning of ‘(In)secure’ and through the title itself, I remind myself of that fight against unbelief to stay focused on the Lord, as it can be easy to slip into old habits when we forget what it says in Romans 6:6 that our old self was crucified with Jesus and we now have freedom from sin.
‘(In)secure’ is centered around Mark 9:24 which tells of a man who has seen and believes the healing power of the Lord yet still cries out to the Lord saying “Lord I believe; help my unbelief!”.

Throughout ‘(In)secure’ I cry out to the Lord in the same way as I realize that I have to make a daily decision to believe and receive the love the Lord wants to give me, and I wrestle against unbelief to remain open in my dialogue with Jesus. Psalm 91:1 gives me comfort as I know that honesty with my creator and recognition of His almighty power is what gives me the freedom to remain confident that I am forgiven and can receive the love He has for me. Truly believing that His love is always there is what encourages me to remain transparent in my songwriting – I know from 1 Corinthians 15:57 that the Lord has given me the victory in Christ which means I can share that victory with others through my music.
